The Remark feature is designed to give you even more control and precision when it comes to marking your students' work. Whether you've spotted an error in the original evaluation or you've updated the marking criteria, Remark empowers you to request a fresh assessment of individual answers with just a few clicks.

Who Can Use This Feature?

The Remark feature is available exclusively to users on paid plans. If you're on a free plan, consider upgrading to access this advanced functionality.

When to Use Remark

How to Remark an Answer

  1. Navigate to the Mark Details Screen

    Locate the answer you want to remark and open the detailed marking view.

  2. Click the "Remark Answer" Button

    You'll find the Remark button at the top-right corner of the screen. Click it to begin the remarking process.

  3. Provide Context

    A prompt will ask whether the original mark was too high or too low. Be sure to select the appropriate option.

  4. Add Additional Instructions (Optional, but Recommended)

    Include any specific feedback or context that helps explain why the original mark may have been incorrect. The more detailed your input, the more accurate the revised mark is likely to be.

  5. Wait for the Remark

    After clicking the "Remark Answer" button, a loading spinner will appear while the platform processes the request.

  6. View the Updated Mark

    Once complete, a "Remarked" banner will appear next to the newly generated mark, indicating the update has been successfully applied.

Remarking After Editing

If you've made changes to either the student's response or the marking guide, you'll also be prompted to remark the answer. This ensures the updated information is taken into account and the mark reflects the latest input.
