At a glance
If you are trying to decide which option to use:
- Use Generate feedback report when you want a formatted feedback report in Google Docs that you can review, edit, and share with a student.
- Use Export when you want to download assessment data in a structured format such as CSV.
- Use Share when you want to copy a unique URL for one student submission so that the student can view their feedback in a browser.
Option 1 - Generate Google Doc feedback reports
Google Docs are a common way to share feedback from an assessment with students, especially if your institution uses Google Workspace.
You can generate Google Doc feedback reports in two ways:
- in bulk from the Marks and submissions page
- for an individual student from the Mark details page
Generate feedback reports in bulk
On the Marks and submissions page, use the checkbox next to each submission to select the submissions you want to work with. You can either:
- click the checkbox at the top to select all submissions
- tick individual submissions one by one

Once selected, you will see how many submissions are selected and an option to Generate feedback report.
